Last week I shared that I had the privilege of visiting a Grade 2 class and particitpated in their “Circle of Love” Program. Their teacher Cori’s main goal is to teach her students the inportance of reading and to show her that everyone reads no matter what your profession, age or race.
I came super excited to share with the class what I do as an interior Designer, and they had soooo… many cute questions for me. A few days ago I recieved a lovely huge envelope with some amazing drawings and thank you cards from the kids that I was able to visit.
These were just a few out of the 2o or so that they made for me. It was so fun to page through them and to see their creative juices flowing! Thanks teacher Cori for having me, I had a blast!
Accoring to the kids I do two main things in my job:
1. I tell people where to put their “stuff”. and….
2. I built a shelf. ( I told them about the custom book shelves that we built in our living room.)
So cute!
Well thats adorable…great memory!
so weird tried to comment on your great interview with Kelly Deck!….didn’t work?
Somehow comments were turned off for that post. All fixed.
Jodi, this is so awesome! This kind of gratitude is such a treasure, because it’s so real and honest.
Kids are the best!

How adorable. A while ago I did the same thing in my daughter’s kindergarten class. The kids were adorable asking me if I build houses, drive a backhoe, carry around lots of tools. Your drawings are awesome!
