Undecided Over Some Fabulous Art!

One of the really great advantages of creating a white kitchen like ours is that you are then left with a blank canvas for really any colour that you want to infuse into it, as well its super bright in here! Our kitchen is coming along nicely and completion sits at about 65% now. It’s been a doozy alright.

I’ve stated here that I’ve wanted to infuse a real artsy, gallery appeal in our kitchen starting with my daughters art.  Yep, she’s talented alright and I think that’s okay for me to brag about her here in my site. One of the really great pieces of art I ran into when browsing the web a long time ago (when I was created the mood board for my kitchen)  was this particular group of sayings.  I chose it because In our house we have a lot of rules, yet we have a lot of fun!

I love its clean look,  the message of course, and it’s all over straight forward look.  When I saw this searching one day I immediately wanted to do this in my own kitchen.  Little did I know that this look is a Wall Decal sticker that belongs to the owner Danielle of Urban Walls!   I met Danielle at the Christmas Party that we held at our house this past Christmas for our Design and Lifestyle Blogger West Group.

I Told Danielle how much I loved the decal that she created and admitted that I really wanted to create one myself.  As soon as I found out that not only did Danielle live 5 minutes from my house,  I knew I just had  to have this look!  Since our conversation at that party,  Danielle’s Decals have been featured in a magazine, online, Pinterest,  and really all over!  Now I should mention that this is really  great for Danielle, but terrible for me!

Terrible you ask?  Well, when it comes to design I really like for my spaces to be like no other, and the mere fact that someone has the same thing as me, really gets to me.  This feeling started in my Grade 12 year during grad preparations.  A girl in my class over heard that I was wearing a particular dress, so she basically went out and got the same dress made. Ohh.. that got me going!  I guess I should take it as a good thing if others want to copy the things that I do or create as I guess it just means I have good taste!  Yeah… we’ll chalk it up as that!

So whether or not if I decide to go with Danielle’s Sticker decals, is still undecided!  Till then,  she makes fabulous decals like no other that I have seen, and I really think they are not only quality, but have a really high-end look to them with out the tacky look that can sometimes come from some decals that you can buy in the stores.
