First of all, a Merry Christmas to you all.
I want to share with you a tree ornament my daughter made for our Tree a few weeks back. At first I sort of chuckled at it. Baby Jesus was so small compared to the manger.
This baby Jesus that came into this world so small and had to fill such a BIG manger. This made me realize that even though baby Jesus was so small, he grew up a man who experienced all that we face today. He had moments of feeling tired, hungry, frustrated, depressed. This is just some of the things I’m sure he felt. Sometimes he didn’t feel Joy and that reminded me that I can be still and find peace only in God. Trust me, things in my life have not always worked out for the good, but at least I know that at Christmas and the rest of the time of the year I can rest in the peace that comes only from this little baby that was in that manger.
I hope that you find true Joy this Christmas season. I’m not talking about the Joy that comes in a perfectly wrapped gift or a perfectly set Christmas Dinner table. But the Joy that only comes from knowing how blessed I feel this year for all that I have and will be given. I wish all of you a wonderful Christmas with all your family in your home. Enjoy your home with friends and family, because that’s why it’s been given to us. May you feel blessed with all that you have.
A Very Merry Christmas to all of you.
