“Well there’s no place like Superstore for the holiday’s”. You know how the song goes…..
Today’s feature: President’s Choice Cheesecakes! I’m so excited about these. These fabulous little cheesecakes come in a variety of flavors: New York Style, Candy Cane, Dulce de Leche, Cherry Topped New York Style, Red Velvet, Wild Blueberry Topped New York Style, and New York Style Double-Decker. Don’t they all sound amazing?
This past weekend we attended a wine and cheese party and thought this would be a great time to try one of these beauties out! It seemed fitting with the holidays that I try the Candy Cane flavor, and I’m so glad I did.
This is a luscious cheesecake. It all starts with a base of chocolate cookie crumbs. The cheesecake is surrounded by very moist chocolate cake, topped with a layer of creamy ganache, and sprinkled with crunchy pieces of candy cane. Are your taste buds geared up?
This would be the perfect dessert to serve to at any holiday gathering or to any last-minute guests. With a few hours in the fridge and this puppy will be thawed enough to eat. Also, I think this cheesecake would be amazing served slightly frozen as well.
After sampling this cheese cake the other night I thought there were a few things I would mention. While the cheesecake did cut very easy, I did slice it while it was still frozen and then I popped it back into the fridge until we were ready to go to the party. As far as taste goes, no complaints here. It was very moist, and super creamy. It was quite dense and that to me is what makes up a great cheesecake. Oh, and the little bits of candy cane were heavenly.
I have given this particular cheesecake a 8/10 rating. I usually make my own, so I’m accustomed to a very dense type of cheesecake. At $7/cheesecake I considered this cheesecake to be quite good. I didn’t have time to make my own so I think it was an excellent price to pay to stay sane this Christmas season.
I dare you to give one a try! Which flavor sounds the best to you?

Dulce de leche for sure. I’m all about the caramel! (but I haven’t tried the PC one yet…)
