Last week I showed you the reveal of my living room that I have been working on since Last July. Thank you all so much for your kind words, thoughts, and take on the room. It was a blast to work on.
I plan on breaking down the room a bit to share some of the little details of the space. It’s always a little bit tricker designing in my own space versus a clients room because I tend to over think too many things. My type A personality always has 20 ideas for my space, but in the real world I can only pick a few to do.
One of the framed peices that I really wanted in our space was an art peice that was first of all black and white, a little bit abstract or different, but wasn’t the usual framing of a family photo.
I came up with deciding to frame all of our family thumb prints and have them printed on a “Linen Look” paper and then mount then in this frame.
It was a neat project to work on, and the kids love looking at all of our finger prints!
It’s neat to think a outside the box when it comes to art. Check out these others.
Cool Huh?
I personally know this talented Graphic artist! Rosa Wrote this really great tutorial on making your own JUJU Hat! If DIY’s not your thing, she also has a etsy shop if you want to order one for yourself!
You just might see one of Rosa’s beautiful Hats in my kitchen redesign when I finish it in 2013!
I hope I’ve convinced you that thinking outside the box when it come to art can be really cool way of getting your personality across in your space!
I’ll be back next week to share more about our living room. Till then, take care.

Unique art adds such personality to a space, especially something as creative as your thumb prints. What a great idea! I love Jujus, and am always blown away by Rosa’s creativity, too!
