Choosing color in your home has an amazing way to transform the space in which you live, but not to mention I believe that colors choose you, and not the other way around. We all have colors that we really love, and lean-to using over and over again. If you gave us a plain piece of paper and a box of crayons, I bet time after time we would reach for certain colors or shades. Do think this is possible?
I love all types of grays, blues, blacks, reds, and whites! But…. since Gray is the new Brown for 2011 I couldn’t agree anymore that this is a fabulous color to start out with experimenting with color for your home. I find gray to be a bit more versatile compared to brown so I guess that’s why I have to say I am drawn to this color.
This gray room is brought to life with all the yellow accents, crisp whites and blacks. In the end all the colors tie together really well to make a very inviting space. With this shade of grey on the walls, one could easily mix up different accents, like turquoise, reds, oranges or blues. The choices are endless. I think Grey is like a white wall or a blank canvas, it’s just there and everything that is around it is brought to life.
Again, the whites, crisp blacks and bright yellow sprigs are brought to beauty with the dark Charcoal walls. Many would think that the dark charcoal wall would suck the life out of this space. Acutally quite the opposite. With the correct amount of natural light, this space actually comes to life!
The blues, greens and pink peonies pop out in this bluish -grey room. Absolutely stunning! What do you think?
Just some grey inspiration for you today.
So what really are your thoughts on the color grey? Do you reach for grey like I do?
