With my powder room finished and behind me (Thank goodness!!) That room was a doozy. Today I thought that I should share one of the pieces that I hung on the wall to the right of the door way as you walk in. I few years ago we purchased these door knob thinging’s ( I know that’s a really official name for them, I’m not sure what you call them?) . They are similar to the image down below. Once again I forgot to take a before image of them. We purchased these with an antique window and I have been saving them for something. I knew they would be very useful for a project, but I just didn’t know for what yet.
I have been looking for quite some time for a really nice, simple shadow box to display these little pieces of antiquness. I finally found a frame I liked and snagged it while it was available. I painted them in both antique white and I think in the end it gives this bathroom that vintage piece of art work I was looking for.
I am always looking for new ways to create art work that isn’t always typical frames and photos. You would think with a photographer in our house that this would not be the case. There are sooooo many different ways to display beautiful items just like these, you just have to find the right way for you. Usually in most cases if you love it then it can be framed…. Well most things.
Do you have any special items that you have creatively displayed? Share them please.
Happy Monday to you all.

Love that! I displayed our license plates from Virginia and a hand forged nail from Jamestown, Virginia in shadow boxes. They make me smile overtime I see them!

Beautiful Jodi. Very creative! We have a dresser drawer, floral patterned frosted glass set in wood painted white as art in our Master Bathroom! I picked up a couple old-style glass knobs to take it up a notch and love it!
