As of Lately, my thoughts have been on our Master bedroom. It is my own “rule” that my master bedroom should be:
- a haven of rest and solitude.
- There shall not be any toys in our room.
- A place to go to without our children.
- a place to read or relax.
- sleep. GOOD sleep like babies.
- a place to eat the occasional cookie or chip in bed because I say so as “we” make the rules in our room.
I’m doing some primping to our own master bedroom this week. I’ll show you it another day, but for now I’ll let these shots speak for themselves. Grab a cookie and your computer, slip into bed to enjoy these photos. Truly you will feel very free….
What a wonderful shade of blue. That’s a blue room done right! It may be for some and not for others. But it sure is beautifully daring when it comes to design and color.
This screams purity to me. The white mirror, white lamp, and white sheets pull it all together with all the amazing light that is sneaking through the windows. This is a stunning design.
This brick behind the bed is truly divine! It speaks for itself.
Look at all this natural light! The bed looks so inviting and comfy to curl up with a good book. Or a cookie?
Over at The Nester she has been working hard on her master Bedroom. Such a transformation! Check out the rest of her post here.
So please go ahead and enjoy your master bedroom. It’s okay to make your own rules you know! I do. Obviously I do, as I found a whole chip in our bed a few days ago when I went to make it. Did I actually just tell you that?
I’ll show you our bedroom in a few days. I’ll leave it at that.

I love those rooms, especially the first all white one. I have been wanting to redo (or should I say “do” since it hasn’t had anything done to it since we moved in 4 1/2 years ago!) our master. And now I realize that a coat of paint and a few simple details… and I’ll have the perfect place to enjoy a chocolate chip cookie! (is there any place that isn’t good for that?). Thanks for the pics & can’t wait to see your own room done.

I have been slowly tweaking my master. I agree, it should be a place of solitude, a restful space. I just splurged and purchase a square pin tuck duvet from west elm! Such an awesome piece! I would love to hang a mirror above our bed my my earthquake fearing husband won’t allow it, we might just get conked on our head with it!
Nester’s bedroom is to die for. She just has such a knack!

That’s really funny. When I’m done the space, I’m planning on having a big mirror above the bed. Don’t tell him!
Yes, the Nester’s bedroom does look cozy.
