I Am Thankful!

Darryl and I are so thankful these days.  We’ve just surrvied a very busy week after a wirlwind of a weekend where we spent Saturday night with our Design & Lifestyle Blogger West group  partying it up!  The night was fab and I promise to do many posts on the event, but since it’s Canadian Thanksgiving weekend I thought I would take this opportunity to give thanks for one particular thing.

Our Blend West night was sponsored by the amazing IKEA!!!  There were so many amazing drawprizes that were up for the winning that night,there was ONE prize that was the envy of all

 $1000.00 Ikea gift card.

Guess what?

 We won!!

 I mean Darryl won, but since I’m with him that means that I won too!  How amazing is that?

{Not to mention that the Fabulous Mark Challen: VP of communications from House and Home Magazine Drew Darryl’s business card!} Thanks Mark!

Now this excitement is coming from Two humble folks like  us that never win anything amazing!  We felt like we won the lottery.

So just to back up the story abit. For the last three  months I have been working so hard to save money and sell things that I no longer need.  The money raised was going to be used to finish the design of our living room.  I have been trying to practice contentment ( this is hard for me design wise),and surely and slowly all of the big items that I was trying to sell on Craigslist have SOLD!  Very Excited.

So to my surprise,  this Ikea gift card could not have come at a better time.

Not only will we be able to finish one of the projects in our kitchen that we really wanted to do, but there is money left over for the idea that I have for our living room!  Don’t worry, details to come on this.  Hint:  You can eat on it….

We feel blessed!  Thank you God for your amazing gifts to us!  Not only do we feel thank ful for what we  see, but for what is unseen.
