Many of you have been wondering why last week I didn’t show you the painted dresser I did for my nieces new room… Well, frankly because the photos hadn’t been edited by Darryl and that’s the plain truth. Also, because I’m known to joke around too, and I thought it would be good to hold back a little. I know, really annoying.. But I really wanted to wait to show you the dresser the week of my little niece’s birthday.
Well first things first, here’s a recap of the dresser before. You can check out the story on this little baby here on the post I wrote about it.
My sister-in-law left the dresser here at my house with me and I got right to work on it. I took the belt sander and I evened out the front of the drawers so they all look and felt unified. I filled the top of it where there were any really bad spots. I wanted the dresser to have a clean tailored look, but still keep some of the natural dings that have always been there.
Just a sneak peek!!!
I’m very happy with the way it turned out and if my One year old niece could speak I think she would say,
” I love it Auntie Jodi!”
The time I spent working on the dresser I decided would be her One year Birthday present. So with that, “Happy Birthday to the sweetest little One year old girl around!”
Happy Sunday to you all. Today it is my niece’s First Birthday party and my children (us included) are very excited to go to celebrate her special day!

LOVE IT! I am soooo fond of red. Freaking fantastic! Red can be one of the hardest colours to paint. What are your tips? I have mine, but am always looking for more!
Stunned and blown away {even though it is a sneak peek}
Hugs
I think I might actually head to the garden today! I think I have weeds galore to pull up:)

Have fun at the Garden, it should be a lovely day to go and work. My plot is B8 now, so I ‘m not far away so we can still water for each other.
I love the red. I happen to get a color in spray paint that was just the right shade that I wanted. How lucky is that? I didn’t really do anything special to the dresser, but as you know if takes some practice spraying on paint. I’ve had a lot of practice, as you know… you probably do too!
Have a wonderful day!

Yippie! I got to see the dresser yesterday…and the rest of the room. What a transformation! I love the choice of the red colour. It is bright and yet still holds that antique feel. The photo of Mya is so precious. My compliments to the photographer as well.
