Fabulous Garage sale finds…

This past Saturday I helped a friend set up her Garage sale that she held to raise $$$ for Youth For Christ Unlimited. Our friends Danny and April  hold a garage sale like this one every 2 years and my friend April puts a lot of work into the event so it is successful. Everyone around them has a chance to donate their unused items to their sale in hopes to raise as much money as they can to support their ministry. This is a great organization that Darryl and I especially think it is important for us to support. It is her husband that works for YFC and he does an amazing job witnessing and pouring his life and love into the lives of Youth in our community. Awhile back  Darryl had a  chance to work with all the amazing staff that works with Danny. Check out the link on his name to view his blog. He is amazing writer, over all nice guy and just loves Youth.

So this brings me to not only why I was there, but WHAT I FOUND!!  Nothing really crazy or elaborate, although with a coating of primer and some gloss paint, these beauties should look FAB. I’ve been known to spray paint a thing or two before so there should be no reason that these shouldn’t turn out too?  Let’s hope for the best. They are chunky, heavy and quality.

They aren’t in that bad of shape, but I think  they could be better. That’s where Mr. Can of spray paint comes in… Here’s to hoping.

I’ll show you them when I’m done.  What are you spraying lately?

Happy Monday to you all.

Spraying some IKEA pine chairs that are finding their 3rd incarnation in our house (from pine to black and now more of a dark green-ish). The challenge factor has been that I over-sanded the pine so it needed to be re-primed to smooth the IKEA-grade wood out and make it usable again!)

Sounds like fun. Save yourself the “fun” of rolling on primer in favour of a can of spray primer!

Love the colour combination on these (candle holders?)! Great find indeed!

Nothing’s being sprayed at the moment but I have a lot of projects on the docket. There is our tv credenza, dresser and bed for the kids, kitchen chairs…. and that’s just the stuff I want to spray. Never mind everything else that I plan on brushing or rolling!!!

I love that picture of the YFC staff. A big garage sale for fund raising is such a great idea.

I have some paint just a waitin’ for me to open it up. We have some chairs, frames, and metal cabinets I need to paint. Planning on spraying everything but the metal cabinet but time will tell.

    Happy painting!
