Lately for the last few weeks I have been in full force search mode for the perfect lamps for my living room design. I have been REALLY patient, and I am quite proud of this new-found patience I have acquired. Like I tell any client that I work with… wait for what you really want and the perfect space is pulled together when you keep your eyes open and patience high to achieve the look you are after.
I found these lamps online at Z Galleria and I really love them. They are classic looking, electic and best of all really simple. They are priced at around 149.00 and I am determined to find a set of lamps for a lower price point. While I do think that 149.00 is not that terrible of a price to pay, I know all that I want to do in this space so I have to put the brakes on somewhere.
I love the simply white drum shade, while it can also be changed out for another colour really easily. The bases come in a variety of colours such as black, turquoise, and white. Which one do you prefer?
Do you think I can find one cheaper and much more in my price range? I think so.

Fun Me loves the turquoise one. Practical Me loves the white one. Sophisticated Me loves the black one. 🙂 Although, I would love to be more fun and sophisticated…I think the Virgo in me would win, and I’d go for the white one. Let me know when you find the better deal!

Hi Jodi, Those are gorgeous, but I’ll bet you could find some that look very similar for much less. Have you looked at Home Sense? The ones here in Calgary have had amazing lamps lately. Oh, and I scored a pair of lamps, minus the shades, for $5 a piece at the Goodwill a couple months ago. Then one day I was online checking out Pottery Barn and BAM, there’s my lamps! They look identical. Of course there’s are nearly $200 for just the lamp base, no shade. So I suggest being patient and those lamps will find you. : ) Speaking of patience, you should stop by and read my latest blog post. It’s all about patience and getting what you want in the end.

If I were you…I’d keep my eye open for a nice “vintage” brass pair with a similar shape and spray them myself.
