Hey everyone, this past spring I showed you the final pictures of our living room. We’ve been working hard all summer to get the rest of the main floor finished and some other important projects complete that I’ve had the chance to be a part of! More on that at a later date!
Today I thought it would be fun to show some of the BLOOPERS, or the behind the scene photos to show the not so glamorous side of a renovation.
As much as Darryl and I love Renos, building and all that goes with getting through the process, there are still the things that make us go…. OH. BOY. Let’s take a tour of the not so pretty times of OUR Renovation.
So there you have it. We’ve taken one day at a time. It’s been over a year since I first started on our living room, and we are basically finished our kitchen. A few details to add, custom pieces and we’re done! I’m thinking we will wait till Winter to fully finish them off.
I have a client that is going through a major renovation right now, and they are experiencing all the joys and not so joys of all that renovation can be. When they reach the finish line, it will be a good day. That my friend, is something that I have a lot of experience in.

I haven’t lived through a reno for a long time, but your photos brought it all back with a rush. Suddenly I remember the days of standing on the bed to get dressed because otherwise my pants would be covered in gyprock dust… The days of cooking on the BBQ because there was no stove hooked up… Bathing only because the shower wasn’t installed, but dying for a shower… I think I’ll stop now. It’s making me tired just thinking about it 🙂 But in the end, ’cause there really is one eventually, it’s all so worth it!
