Help Me Spread The News!

Hi Everyone!  As you can see My family are back in Canada after living for six months in Mexico.  Our time there was rich, full of adventures, deep with adjustments, and we felt all of your words of encouragements and thoughts.  So a big thank you! We met so many wonderful people there that touched our hearts deeply, and we look forward to spending some time there, likely early next year.

While our time there has ended, we will still be in partnership with the Vineyard Church and their Child Sponsorship program.  If you are all interested to see what Darryl and the team in Mazatlan have been working on you can go the child sponsorship website he was part of creating, here.  Darryl’s time is greatly needed with this project on a very part-time basis, so we feel as family that our work time really needs to align better and more intentionally with how we want to be used within in our community. We still obviously need to generate income, but we feel we have an opportunity for a fresh start and a different way of living.

This brings me to my business Simply Inspired Design.  For the past four years, my main area of focus has been on renovations.  It’s given me a lot of great joys and awesome creative challenges as well amazing clients to work with as I was helping them create a home that is loved. I am still driven to help people love, or fall back in love with their home, I am now just changing my primary focus a little bit. Moving forward, I will be focussing my business in the following areas.

  • Real Life Staging.   You may be selling your home in the near future and need the guidance and the confidence to know exactly what you need to do for your future buyer to fall in love with your home. We have ONE opportunity for your home to shine during a walk though with a realtor so every detail counts.  This gives us the opportunity for every colour to work and furniture placement works for your home.  I’ll show you how to organize your home, how to de-clutter for home sale, what needs your immediate attention to allow the future homeowner to see the beauty in your home. My goal is to help you stage your home in a way that encourages potential buyers to emotionally connect with your home, which should lead to your home selling quickly and efficiently.
  • Color Selection: Choosing paint is tricky, and costly if in the end you are unhappy with the project.  If are you are at all  thinking about painting the interior of your home I take the guess-work out of choosing the right colour. Lets get the colour done right the first time.  I’ll instruct you on the right colours for your home and your furnishings, and I’ll teach you why Simple is always best.
  • Staging for Everyday Life. You may not be selling your home, but you may be desiring a change in how you view or how you use the spaces in your home. There is something about staging a home for sale that helps refine a space to the best version of itself; those lessons can be applied to everyday life, and that is exactly what I can help you do during the consultation. Often we will make changes to our homes to make them more presentable for sale that, once completed, we would have enjoyed much more if they had been done much earlier. For Instance, during a consultation with one of my staging clients we decided to install hardwood in place of carpet for resale purposes. After it was installed, she loved the flooring so much that they’d wished they did it earlier in the life of the time in that home.  My goal with a Staging for Everyday Life consultation is to work with you to find the best possible version of your home; one that works best for you and your family and is a joy to return to.

Please visit The Simply Inspired Design, and stay tuned for some exciting updates. Until then I greatly appreciate your support, and your referrals and friendships are very appreciated and important to me.
